Rae Skin

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you help with acne?

Yes! Rae Skin was created to help you manage acne-prone skin and keep it looking clearer. The biggest results happen at home, with a routine built for your skin type, your breakouts, and your lifestyle. Facials can help speed things along, but your daily routine does most of the work. Consistency is key.

What is The Rae Skin Guide?

I like to think of The Rae Skin Guide as a look at how my brain works when I put together a personalized skincare routine. It walks you through figuring out your skin type, the best ways to care for your skin type and concerns, and which ingredients to look for or avoid. It's all about education and understanding your skin better. If you'd like to save money and build your own routine, the guide can help you do that. Professional products aren't available through the guide alone. Those come with the Personalized Routine.

What happens after I take the free assessment? How does the $25 Personalized Routine work?

When you submit your assessment, The Rae Skin Guide and a copy of your answers are sent to you automatically by email. You can bring your answers to a local dermatologist or esthetician. If you choose the $25 Personalized Routine, you'll get both of those, plus a personalized plan within 7–10 business days (usually sooner). The plan lists the products Lindsey recommends and what they cost, along with ingredients that could help your skin. You can buy the products through Lindsey or not, it's up to you. If you do, your $25 goes toward them.

Will you contact me if I only take the free assessment?

No. Lindsey won't reach out unless you contact her with a question first.

Do I have to buy products from you?

No. Products are sold separately and are always optional. The $25 Personalized Routine covers Lindsey's product and ingredient recommendations. If you decide to buy products from her, your $25 goes toward them. If you'd rather not, that's completely fine.

How long until I see results?

It varies from person to person, depending on your skin and how it responds. Most people start to see their skin calm down and their acne become easier to manage within 3–6 months of using a consistent routine. Some see results in as little as two months.

Do you work with teens?

Absolutely! If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to help fill out the assessment and sign the consent forms.

Can I do this if I don't live in Utah?

Yes! Anyone in the U.S. is welcome to complete the assessment and get a Personalized Routine.

Are my information and photos private?

Yes. Your answers and photos are used only by Lindsey to understand your skin and recommend the right products and ingredients. They're never shared or used for anything else without your permission.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes! Virtual consults are optional and included with the $25 Personalized Routine. Just let Lindsey know if you'd like one, and she'll set up a time over Zoom or Google Meet.

Do you offer in-person appointments?

Yes! Lindsey is located in Davis County and offers in-person facials. Book an in-person facial

What brands do you use?

I mostly use Face Reality. It's made for acne-prone skin, it works really well, and it's one of the most affordable professional lines out there. I also use GlyMed Plus, PCA Skin and Image Skincare when they're a better fit for your skin. Every routine is personalized, so I'll choose what works best for you and your budget, and you're always free to buy some, all or none of what I recommend.

What are your hours and cancellation policy?

Facials are available weeknights 5–8:30 PM and Saturdays 10 AM–3 PM, and you can book up to one month ahead. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

Is this medical advice?

No. Rae Skin offers skincare education, facials and product recommendations, not medical diagnosis or treatment. For painful, cystic or sudden acne, or any skin concern that worries you, please see a board-certified dermatologist.
